The story

What if you could step inside the energy transition? For five days in December, Place du Luxembourg 26 became the E.ON Energy Playhouse: a pop-up experience built to turn abstract policy into tangible reality, challenge perceptions, and spark the conversations that will shape Europe’s energy future.

The brief went beyond debate. Alongside a programme of high-level curated events, interactive installations put the real-world solutions already transforming the industry in front of policymakers: smart grids and the EU Grids Package, industrial decarbonisation and competitiveness, system flexibility and Vehicle-to-Grid, and artificial intelligence in energy.

Visitors could experience the transition first-hand, from “Netropolis”, the campaign on grids and landscape, through energy solutions for cities and industries, all the way to a net-zero bar serving beer brewed using waste-heat recovery from steel production.
